The invention relates to a steep-pitched roof with a ventilated roofing skin and a load-bearing roof structure, a restorable heat-insulating layer being fastened to the roof structure, with the formation of a ventilation space at a distance from the roofing skin which is predetermined by way of the nominal height of said space. A water-vapour-permeable folded or corrugated web is arranged between the roofing skin and the heat-insulating layer, which web has an inherent rigidity which exceeds the restoring force of the heat-insulating layer, the height of the folds or corrugations corresponding to the nominal height of the ventilation space and conforming therewith. <IMAGE>
