<p>The invention relates to a needle bed for two-section knitting machines, the stitch-forming teeth being provided with lower planes which are inclined so as to converge upwards, there being formed between the two mutually inclined planes of the needle beds located opposite one another a passage which narrows considerably upwards and the narrowest cross-section of which allows only the yarn for stitch formation to pass through, but prevents the passage and therefore the return of the fabric formed underneath this contraction, whilst located above the aforesaid lower plane is the stitch-forming or stitch draw-off plane which is inclined relative to the sliding plane of the needle at an angle of 95 DEG to 128 DEG as a function of the angle between the guide grooves of the needle beds located opposite one another.</p> |
