PURPOSE:To prevent a body to be fixed from being stained during the restarting of operation after a machine halt by separating a supply body which supplies oil in contact with a fixing body from the fixing body by an escaping mechanism unless fixation is in process. CONSTITUTION:A couple of upper and lower rollers 25 and 26 as the fixing body are pressed against each other by a spring 27, and felt 28 as the supply body which supplies oil in contact with the upper roll 25 is supported rotatably on a frame 30 by a holder 29. The felt 28 is pressed against the roller 26 during fixation to coat the surface of the roller 25 with the oil, and an image is fixed by pressure onto transfer paper which passes between the rollers 25 and 26, but the felt 28 leaves the roller 25 through the escaping mechanism a unless the fixation is in process, so the roller 25 is neitgher impregnated with the oil nor stained. |
