PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a trouble, in which water is cold when a user takes a bath, by a method wherein, when an operation control switch is in an ON- state during the supply of a power source, it is decided by means of the output signal of a flame detector whether the operation control switch is erroneously operated or a momentary power outage occurs or a voltage is decreased, and when the momentary power outage occurs or a voltage is decreased, combustion is continued. CONSTITUTION:In case a power outage occurs at t3 time during combustion, a fuel controller 2 is brought to an OFF-state due to stop of the supply of a power. When a power source is restored at a time t4, an operation control switch 6 remains to be brought to an ON-state and a flame detector 7 displays a flame detecting state because of a heat time constant. An operation starting deciding part 11 turns ON the fuel controller 2 again from a time t5, in which, when a power source 9 is restored, the operation control switch 6 is in an ON-state, and the output of a flame detector is in a flame detecting state and is changed over to a detecting state within a given time T, and actuates an ignitor 10 to continue combustion. A flame is detected by the flame detector 7 at a following time t6, and combustion is effected until a time t7, in which the operation control switch 6 is turned OFF, to heat bath water. |
