<p>An axially and radially compact rectifier assembly for installation in alternator rotors (16). The assembly includes two spaced plates (30, 32), each mounting diodes (50) which are arranged to extend axially toward the plate on which they are not mounted. The axial extension of the diodes (50) provides for radial compactness. The diodes (50) on each plate (30, 32) are staggered with respect to the diodes (50) on the other plate (30, 32) so that they may nest between one another thereby providing axial compactness as well.</p> |
