This raking machine is particularly suitable for use on a coke-quenching water treatment plant, in which two or more basins (1a; 1b) are arranged side by side in parallel, to which the coke-quenching water to be treated is alternately charged and which, in each case, after a preset level of solids has been reached and the coke-quenching water inflow has been isolated, serve as drip-off basins. This raking machine consists of a lower part (4) which is movable in the longitudinal direction of the basin and on which an upper part (9), movable in the transverse direction of the basin, and a transverse conveyor belt (14) are arranged, the upper part (9) being provided with a bucket-and-chain dredger (12) which can be lowered.
