PURPOSE:To facilitate the cleaning of a hot-water storage tank, by constituting an automatic cleaning device in such a manner that a safety valve is opened when the water fed into the storage tank passing through a feed water pipe is heated by a heating means, and the water pressure exceeds a predetermined value in accordance with the rise of temperature in water. CONSTITUTION:A pressure reducing check valve 16 actuated under a pressure of 0.6kg/cm<2> and a feed water valve 17 are fitted to a feed water pipe 13, a control valve 18 actuated under a pressure of 1.2kg/cm<2> and an air vent valve 19 are fitted to a feed hot-water pipe 14, a safety valve 20 actuated under a pressure 0.9kg/cm<2> is fitted to a drain pipe 15, to which a bypass pipe 21, with which a bypass valve 22 is fitted, is connected. When the temperature in a storage tank 12 is heightened, the water pressure is gradually increased by the cubical expansion of water, and the safety valve 20 is opened when the water pressure exceeds 0.9kg/cm<2>. When the safety valve 20 is opened, the heated water in the storage tank 12 is drained outside passing through the drain pipe 15. The sediment deposited on the bottom of a storage tank 12 is put outside, together with the heated water while it is drained. |
