A folding handle for equipment is provided with a bow-type handle having two legs (9) and two screw-on bushes, on which the bow-type handle is mounted so as to be pivotable about a pivot pin (12) from a rest position to a working position and vice versa. A pressure piece (22), mounted on a spring (21), guided in a bore (20) and intended for a snap lock, for the two positions, which cooperates with the end (10) of the associated leg (9) of the bow-type handle as a catch for the pressure piece (22), is provided in the region of at least one screw-on bush (4). In each screw-on bush (4), the threaded shank (18) is provided on an extension (17) formed in one piece with the remaining part of the screw-on bush. The bore (20) for receiving the pressure piece (22) passes right through the extension (17) and a closure member (23) is provided at the end of the bore (20) remote from the leg (9).
