PURPOSE:To provide the developing device where a smooth feeding of developer from a feeding sleeve to a developing sleeve is carried out and the developer is fed to an image bearing body sufficiently. CONSTITUTION:The developing device is provided with a housing 1 provided with an opening part faced to the image bearing body 20 and containing the developer inside, the insulated developing sleeve 2 placed at the opening part, the insulated feeding sleeve 3 feeding the developer to the developing sleeve 2, a first electric field generating means generating an electric field attracting the developer to an outer surface of the feeding sleeve 3 in a range of rotational angle of the feeding sleeve 3 which is the range to have the developer carried by the feeding sleeve 3 to the vicinity of the position of proximity with a developing sleeve 2, and a second electric field generating means generating the electric field to have the developer separated from the outer surface of the feeding sleeve 3 in the range of the rotational angle of the feeding sleeve 3 corresponding to the vicinity of the position of proximity of the developing sleeve 2 and the feeding sleeve 3. |
