Device for the failsafe representation of information on a data display device

The information to be represented, checked for correspondence by comparison and worked out in two mutually independent control processors (SP1, SP2) operating in parallel is converted into image data which can be processed by the data display device (BS) in two parallel screen drivers (BA1, BA2). The image data supplied by the two screen drivers are additionally checked for correspondence by comparison. This is done by the two control processors after previous data reduction by means of two shift registers (RSR1, RSR2) with feedback. The data display device (BS) is in each case driven by one of the screen drivers (BA1). A screen driver essentially contains an image processor for generating the image data, an image refresh memory, a clock generator and control logic for providing the control signals for the associated shift register with feedback. If the data display device is a colour monitor, the image data are compared in an independent device for each primary colour. <IMAGE>
