PURPOSE:To locate a rotary shaft at two stable portions and rotate the shaft at the respective positions by selectively applying a current to a coil to move a movable portion by a reciprocal action between magnetic force generated from the coil and a permanent magnet. CONSTITUTION:In case of applying a current to a coil 8 to move a movable portion to B side, as the surface of the bearing 3 is magnetized to be of N pole by a permanent magnet 2, an exciting current of such a polarity is applied to the coil that A side of the movable portion 7 is N pole and B side is S pole. Thus, the surface of the bearing 5 is magnetized to be of N pole by the permanent magnet 4, so that repulsive force on A side and attraction force on B side are generated by the reciprocal action between the permanent magnets 2, 4, thereby to move the movable portion 7 in direction of an arrow B. On the other hand, a current opposite to the above is applied to move the movable portion 7 in direction of an arrow A.
