A clip for fastening a tea bag in a teapot has two double-armed clip parts which are rotatable about a common axis and are prestressed relative to one another in opposite rotational directions by a spring, such that two arms of the clip parts as clip arm are pressed resiliently against one another while the other two arms as actuating arms are located with spacing opposite one another so that they can be pressed together. The clip also has at least one hook for hanging the clip on the edge of a teapot. When the clip is used, a tea bag held by it has a large volume, so that good rinsing of the tea leaves in the bag is guaranteed. The clip is very simple and inexpensive, and it can be handled without problems. <IMAGE>
