The repair of a broken-out or loosened room door hinge is achieved, according to the invention, in that the part/hinge to be repaired is removed and replaced by a repair hinge, in that, after prior glueing and the subsequent re-drilling of the existing hole in the door leaf or rebate cladding, the threaded spindle is carefully knocked into this very hole, until the legs of the angle plate bear against the door leaf or door lining. By screwing the angle plate to the door leaf or to the rebate cladding by means of corresponding bores, the hinge is fastened and thus distributes the resulting forces to two planes. The bores in the two legs of an angle plate are so arranged that they are located outside the point of damage. Since the centre of rotation has remained, the door leaf only needs to be hung again.
