PURPOSE:To reduce the titled device in size and to prevent a head from damage by providing a carrier supported freely rockably to a frame part and enabled to store a cartridge, and fitting a head guard movable to a guard position and a saving position corresponding to the head, to the carrier. CONSTITUTION:When the cartridge 44 is inserted into the carrier supported freely rockably by the frame up to a prescribed position, a push-out 112 is rotated in the arrow B direction, a shutter 50 is moved in the C direction and a disc 42 is exposed from a head guiding inlet 44d. Consequently, the head guard 118 is turned clockwise to attain reading and writing. When the carrier is unlocked and jumped up, the engagement of the push-out 112 is disengaged and the cartridge 44 is automatically discharged. At that time, the head guard 118 is turned counterclockwise and the guard end 118a is inserted between the head and a pat. Thus, the device is reduced in size and the head is prevented from damage when the cartridge 44 is not charged. |
