<p>N-methyl 1-methylthio 2-nitro ethenamine of formula (I) is made by (a) reaction of the di-potassium salt of 1-nitro 2,2-bis-mercapto ethylene of formula (II), with dimethyl sulphate to obtain a cpd. of formula (III); (b) reaction of (III) with methylamine to give a deriv. of formula (IV); and (c) reaction of (IV) with methyl sulphate to give (I).</p> |
