PURPOSE:To accurately perform the temperature compensation of an ion sensor by such an arrangement wherein a heat sensitive element is provided on the same substrate on which an ion sensor is formed, and the correction for temperature drift is carried out and at the same time, the correction of sensitivity coefficient is also carried out. CONSTITUTION:At first, a temperature compensation switch 9 is turned OFF before the temperature of a liquid to be inspected varies, and under this condition, an ion sensor 1 is adjusted to zero value by immersing it in a standard liquid of specified ion activity A1. Next, its sensitivity is adjusted to a specified value (b) by immersing it in a standard liquid of specified ion activity A2. Then, the temperature compensation switch 9 is turned on, the sensor is adjusted so that its ion activity signal value becomes the value of (b) and based on the temperature T1 of temperature signal, zero point adjustment is made. Subsequently, the ion sensor 1 is immersed in the standard liquid A1 again, and the correction of temperature drift for the temperature T2 changed by a variable resistor 8 is made. After that, it is immersed in the standard liquid A2 again, and its temperature compensation is completed by adjusting its sensitivity coefficient by a variable resistor 19. By this arrangement, the temperature compensation of an ion sensor can be accurately performed. |
