<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the consumption of a liquid reactant and the cost of equipment with a wettable net having a high gas-liquid contacting efficiency by separating the chamber wherein the liquid reactant flows down into three chambers, spraying the liquid reactant over a group of baskets covered with the wettable net, and bringing an odorous gas into contact with a low-, a medium-, and a high-concn. liquid reactant in series. CONSTITUTION:The liquid chamber of a horizontal deodorization apparatus 21 is separated into three chambers A-C with partition plates 16. A large number of wettable net-covered baskets 3 covered with a hydrophilic recticular body are packed into the apparatus 21. The low-, medium-, and high-concn. H2SO4 are sprayed respectively from the upper part of the chambers A-C. A gas contg. odorous components such as NH3 from a night soil treating plant is introduced from a duct 23, deodorized preliminarily in the chamber A, moderately in the chamber B, and finally in the chamber C, and discharged from a duct 24. The reacted liquid is taken out from the chamber A.</p> |
