PURPOSE:To obtain a molding composed of well-bonded pre-expanded particles, having good appearance, by better effective and uniform heating process by a method in which pre-expanded particles are packed into molds whose inner surface is attached with a screen with many small through holes and then expanded and bonded to one another by heating by means of a heating medium. CONSTITUTION:Pre-expanded particles 3 (e.g., of ethylene-propylene random copolymer, etc.) are packed into molds 1 whose inner surface is attached with a screen having many small through holes (e.g., metal net, etc.) and heated by a heating medium (e.g., steam usually) supplied through steam holes 4. The pre-expanded particles 3 are expanded and bonded to one another by heating, cooled, and taken out of the molds 1 to obtain a molding. |
