PURPOSE:To control a torch accurately, by projecting laser light, receiving the reflected light from a high-temperature body to be detected by a TV camera, thereby detecting the position of a wire in the vicinity of a welding point without the effect of noise light. CONSTITUTION:A laser light source 5a lights the vicinity of a welding part, which is continuously welded, at a lighting angle 6 and is moved to the direction (l) of the welding line together with a welding torch 4 and a welding wire 3. Meanwhile, a TV camera 7, which is moved at the same time, passes only the reflected light of the projected laser light a narrow-band optical filter 9a in front of a lens and captures the image in the vicinity of the welding point. Therefore, the position of the welding wire in the vicinity of the welding point is detected without receiving the effect of noise light, and the torch 4 can be controlled correctly along the welding line. |
