<p>The invention relates to new 3-benzylidene-camphor derivatives of the formula: <IMAGE> (I) in which R1 denotes H or SO3(-)M(+), with M=H, an alkali metal or N(+)(R3)4, with R3=H or C1-C4 alkyl or hydroxyalkyl; R2 denotes C1-C4 alkyl or C1-C4 alkoxy and n=0-4; and Z denotes <IMAGE> in which R4 has the same meaning as R1 and can be identical or different, or alternatively <IMAGE> in which R5 denotes H, optionally substituted aryl, C1-C4 alkyl, -CN, -COOR7 or <IMAGE> and R6 denotes -COOR8 or <IMAGE> in which R7 and R8, which are identical or different, denote alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl or aralkyl and R9 and R10, which are identical or different, denote H, alkyl, alkenyl or cycloalkyl; if R5=H, alkyl or aryl, R6 can represent -COO(-)M(+); the methylidene-camphor radical, on the one hand, and the radical Z, on the other hand, are in the meta or para position. These derivatives act as sun filters.</p> |
