<p>Ammonium carbonate soln. is reacted with previously purified and powdered celestine strontium mineral, to give strontium carbonate and ammonium sulphate. The solids are filtered off and reacted with ammonium chloride, recovering carbon dioxide and ammonia and sepg. the strontium chloride by filtration. This is reacted with ammonium carbonate, the strontium carbonate filtered off and washed, and the ammonium chloride recovered for further use.</p> |
