PURPOSE:To realize unmanned operation and the reduction of power consumption by providing an automatic switch controller with the function which inquires automatically the presence or absence of a fault with a using system to the said switch controller together with the function which detects a fault from the answer fed from the using system to said inquiry. CONSTITUTION:A fault detecting part 6-1 of an automatic switch control part 6 transmits an inquiry signal to an operation information collecting part 1-1 of a using system 1 in a prescribed cycle then analyzes the sent-back operation information to detect faults. If a fault is detected, a fault detection signal is sent to a switch processing part 6-2. The part 6-2 outputs a switching instruction. Thus the input/output connection of an input/output device 5 is switched to a stand-by system 2 from the system 1. |
