<p>PURPOSE:To dehydrate and dry org. sludge without auxiliary use of fuel by dehydrating org. sludge by adding paper and drying dehydrated cake by the potential heat of exhaust air of a blower for feeding air to a stage of biological treatment of the org. waste water. CONSTITUTION:Waste paper 2 such as waste newspaper is added to sewage sludge 1 such as settled sludge or mixed raw sludge, etc. and mixed intimately in a mixing tank 3. The waste paper 2 is preferably deaggregated previously to pulp slurry by a hydropulper for the improvement of dehydration effect. A high molecular flocculant 5 is added to the sludge 4 mixed intimately with the paper to cause flocculation, then the sludge is dehydrated by a screw press dehydrator 6 to obtain dehydrated cake 7. Further, the dehydrated cake 7 is fed to a drying vessel 9 where it is dried by the potential heat of exhaust air 12 exhausted from an aerating blower 11 for feeding air to an aeration tank 10 in a stage for treating activated sludge of sewage. Dried product 13 is then discharged.</p> |
