PURPOSE:An oily gelatinous cosmetic, containing two kinds of clay minerals treated with a nonionic surfactant and both a cationic surfactant and a nonionic surfactant and an oil and having improved stability, water repellency and feeling of use. CONSTITUTION:A cosmetic containing (A) a clay mineral treated with a nonionic surfactant having within 2-16, preferably 3-12HLB value range, preferably ethylene oxide addition type, e.g. POE addition ether ester type, (B) a clay mineral treated with a cationic surfactant, e.g. quaternary ammonium salt type, and a nonionic surfactant and (C) a general oil used for the cosmetic. The amounts of the components are preferably as follows; 1-20wt% component (A), 1-40wt% component (B) and 10-80wt% component (C). A colloidal hydrous aluminum silicate, e.g. montmorillonite or synthetic mica, having three-layer structure and swelling in water is used as the clay mineral. |
