<p>The material which contains the precious metal is melted with a slag forming material to form a basic slag. This is brought into contact with a non-oxide metal-containing melt which is able to extract precious metals from the slag. The metals are subsequently recovered using conventional metallurgical processes. The non-oxide metal- contg. melt comprises metal or metal sulphide melt including the metals Cu, Ni, Fe and Pb or a melt including metal arsenide or antimonide.</p> |
