PURPOSE:To mechanically supply a core to a winder without using human hands, by providing a hopper for throwing in cores at random, a unit for measuring the dimensions of the core, and a core vessel which receives only the core with prescribed ranges of dimensions. CONSTITUTION:A hopper 5 for throwing in cores 1 at random, and a unit 11 for measuring such dimensions of the core as the length and diameter are provided. A core vessel 28 having a plurality of core chambers, and a core conveyor 7 are also provided. The core vessel 28 receives only the cores with prescribed ranges of dimensions so that the cores are stacked for storage in horizontal posture. The core conveyor 7 takes out one core from the hopper 5 and conveys the core to the core measuring unit 11. A core receiving plate 21 for discriminating between the right and wrong of the core sent out from the measuring unit 11 and for sending out only the right core to the core vessel 28, and a core inserter 50 for inserting the core delivered from the core vessel 28, into a winder are provided further. |
