PURPOSE:To obtain a phenol resin material that can be suitably extruded into a precision molded item having a specular surface, by applying a phenol resin solution onto the surfaces of pellets of a mixture made up of a phenol resin and a filler, and then removing the solvent so that each of the pellets may be provided with a cover layer of the phenol resin. CONSTITUTION:After a filler is mixed with a phenol resin and the mixture is formed into a sheet, and the sheet is subjected to the operation of a pencil mixer to obtain pellets of the mixture. After the pellets are coated with a solution of a phenol resin dissolved in a solvent, the solvent is removed. Thus, pellets made of the mixture each of which has a cover layer of the phenol resin are obtained. Therefore, a phenol resin molding material can be produced that can be extruded suitably into a precision molded item having a specular surface. |
