<p>PURPOSE: To prevent a spring from wearing even when time passes by freely pivotally movably mounting a display unit to a base and mounting the spring so as to make the base apply horizontal compression force to a mounting device. CONSTITUTION: The display unit 1 is freely pivotally movably mounted to a keyboard base 2 by this hinge mechanism 3. The rod 32 of the hinge mechanism 3 is disposed inside a bearing 33 and connected to a bracket disposed to the base 2. The spring 34 is disposed on the base 2. The spring 34 applies compression force in the axial direction of the rod 32 to the bearing 33, performs frictional engagement with the bearing 33 and holds the display unit 1 at an open position. The outer wall of the rod 32 is tapered and cooperates with the inclined inner wall of the bearing 33. Thus, even when the time passes, the spring is prevented from wearing.</p> |
