<p>PURPOSE:To provide a self-routing switching device capable of turning selectable routes in an internal part corresponding to an optional path number to one and to provide an extended selfrouting switching device capable of turning the selectable routes to one whose entire constitution is compact and simple. CONSTITUTION:A multiplexing means 21M time-division multiplexes cells inputted from plural incoming paths, a separating means 21D multiplex-separates the multiplexed signals from the multiplexing means 21 and outputs them to plural outgoing paths and thus, switching is performed. When the path number is large, the switching is performed through two stages of multiplexing and multiplex-separation. That is, the multiplexed signals provided with information for the entire incoming paths for which the information of the cells from the entire incoming paths is taken out little by.little are formed by successively passing through a primary multiplexing means and a secondary multiplexing means and the switching is performed by multiplex-separating the multiplexed signals successively through a secondary separating means and a primary separating means.</p> |
