<p>PURPOSE:To automate the communications path prescription by establishing the path for operation management information transmission between a network operation management center device which is directly connected or adjacent packet exchange device and notifying the identification information of a self packet exchange device to the center. CONSTITUTION:A new packet exchange station 105 is added to the conventional packet exchange network. An operation management module 110 of the added exchange station 105 sends the adjacent path setting request for the operation management module of all adjacent stations, for example, to exchange devices 103 and 104. An operation management function module 108 of the exchange device 103 having the path to a network operation management center device 101 returns the adjacent path setting confirmation to the exchange device 105. In this case, if the adjacent path setting information is returned from plural exchange devices, the adjacent path setting answer is returned to the adjacent path setting confirmation which is received first and the setting confirmation which is received thereafter is ignored.</p> |
