PURPOSE: To provide an actuator switch for power tool capable of preventing chips and dust occuring during cutting operation from flowing into a housing, preventing a motor from stopping accidentally due to the vibration of a tool, and eliminating the necessity of high degree mechanical precision of constituent parts. CONSTITUTION: A plunger 42 is provided in an opening 32 of a switch main body 28 so as to protrude and recede, and an electric switch is switched to ON position at a recede position of the plunger 42. Protrusion and receding of the plunger are done by the operation of a trigger 22, and an elastic pad 44 is provided at a position covering the opening 32 between the trigger 22 and the switch main body 28. Consequently, the elastic pad 44 blocks the opening to prevent the entry of dust, the vibration of a tool is absorbed or damped by its elastic deformation, and accidental opening of a switch contact is prevented. |
