PURPOSE:To attain accurate reading by blocking the irradiation of excitation light at the blanking line scanning on a storage fluorescent sheet at a beam focusing position so as to eliminate the reduction in picture information. CONSTITUTION:Beam expanders 9a, 9b focusing a light beam to a point on an optical path are provided on the optical path of a light beam 4 for scanning. A rotary light shielding means 10 blocking the laser beam during the blanking scanning period in synchronizing with the reciprocating main scanning of a galvanometer mirror 6 is arranged at the focusing position by the beam expanders 9a, 9b. The beam whose beam diameter is spreaded by the beam expanders 9a, 9b is converged onto the fluorescent sheet 3 by an image forming lens 11. When a light beam is irradiated on the sheet 3, its part shows luminous luminance. This light is collected by a totally reflecting light guide plate 7 and detected, then a picture signal is obtained. |
