MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To use effectively even a track having a drop-out by dividing a piece of track into plural sections to record the same data to each section and replacing a track having a drop-out with the reproduction signal of another section in a reproduction mode. CONSTITUTION:A data signal track 3 is set at the most inside circumference of a magnetic disk 1 and divided into two parts by 180 deg.. A divided signal generating circuit 10 which divides the track 3 is provided to record the same data signal to those two divided areas. In a reproduction mode the signals on the track 3 is read out by a magnetic head 4 and amplified by a reproduction amplifier 15 in the form of a reproduction signal 29. Then the smplitude noise of the signal 29 is deleted by a limiter 16, and the signal 29 is given to an FM data demodulator 18 to obtain a coded signal 31 corresponding to the coded signal 27 of a record mode.
