METHOD FOR CORRECTING ROTATING POSITION OF DIE FOR PRESS MACHINE

PURPOSE:To determine the rotating position of dies with good accuracy by adding the rate of correction to a driving device and controlling numerically the positioning command of the rotary dies. CONSTITUTION:An upper turret 3 and a lower turret 9 are rotated to position a punch 5b and a die 7b under a striker. A detecting means 79 detects that the punch 5b and the die 7b are positioned under the striker 11. The punches 5a, 5b and dies 7a, 7b as rotary dies are rotated by driving a driving device 17 and are stopped in a prescribed position. The device 17 is rotated reversely by as much as the difference between the command value for the rotating angle and the present value added with the rate of backlash in the stage of rotating reverse the punch 5a and the die 7a. The signal for whether the addition of the backlash in the stage of succeeding rotation is needed or not is changed over and is selectively fed at every change of the rotating direction of the rotary dies constituted of the punch 5a and the die 7a in the forward or backward rotating direction.
