PURPOSE:To make positive the ignition and to lower the electric power consumption, by providing a timer circuit wherein even if once a power source switch is opened and then when it is closed, the spark discharge is stopped precisely within a predetermined prescribed period. CONSTITUTION:A winding 17 for driving a timer is provided that is magnetically coupled to a transformer 5 of a DC-DC converter, a rectifier circuit 18 is connected to the winding 17 to take out a direct current voltage higher than the voltage of a battery 2 as an input power source, a timer circuit 20 including a PUT22 is actuated by this direct voltage, and the consumption of the battery 3 is checked by illuminating a light emission element 33 by the voltage divided by resistors supplied between the gate and the cathode or the anode and the cathode of the PUT22. Thus, the ignition can be secured, surplus electric power would not be consumed, and the life of the battery can be extended. |
