PURPOSE:To omit centering adjustment and to improve operability by coupling a stick with a volume and providing the stick with an automatic centering function. CONSTITUTION:The stick 1 is automatically returned to its center if a hand is removed from it. Thereby a microprocessor 5 regards a digital data value inputted from an A/D conversion part 4 as the center value of the volume 2 at the ON of a power supply, and stacks the value in a main memory or the like. When the stick 1 is operated thereafter and the value of the volume 2 is changed, the processor 5 executes processing for finding out a positive or negative shift of an inputted digital data value from the stacked center value to correct the input digital data. The corrected value is outputted as the joy stick data. Consequently, centering adjustment can be omitted and the operability can be improved.
