PURPOSE:To provide a stop valve which can intercept a fluid urgently in case of emergency during filling of a fluid by forming a groove portion on either the lower portion of a pressing shaft or the upper portion of an interlocking rod in such a manner as to cross radially, and a projection on the other portion. CONSTITUTION:In case of closing a valve quickly when in a full open state, during filling or taking out a fluid, emergencies such as breakage of a conduit or earthquake happen, a starting rod is rotated. By this operation, a pressing shaft 13 of a valve rod 5 is brought into slidable contact with the end surface of a projection 20 pushed down and turned in a 90-degree arc. When a groove portion is aligned with the longitudinal direction of the projection 20, contact of both end surfaces is released. Thus, the projection 20 is thrusted into the groove by the elastic force of a spring 11 and the back pressure of the fluid, and an auxiliary valve 6 is seated to intercept the fluid. |
