PURPOSE:To allow an operator to copy only a desired part on an original easily by arranging a light emitting body array near the surface of a photosensitive body and in front of a developing device, and selecting each light emitting body and specifying the timing of entire-surface lighting associatively with the display alteration of a copying position display means provided to an original placing plate. CONSTITUTION:The light emitting body array 2 is arranged closely to the photosensitive body 1 at right angles to its running direction. Two sliders 6 and 7 for specifying a breadthwise copy area Cx on the original 5 are fitted to one X-axial edge of original placing plate glass 4 slidably on a rail 8. Proximity sensors are provided to those sliders 6 and 7 and generate signals when a scanning optical system which moves forth and back on the reverse surface of the original placing plate glass 4 approaches. Then, a divided light emission display array 9 and a switch array 10 for turning on the array 9 selectively are arranged in parallel at one Y-directional edge corresponding to respective light emitting bodies of the light emitting body array 2. When the operator presses switches corresponding to both depth-directional ends of the copy area Cy on the original, display corresponding to the part Cy is turned on, so that the copy area is judged clearly. |
