The device in its unassembled state comprises a long plate (1) of elastic plastic material with two apertures (2,3) through which the electrical leads pass (4), and which has the marking symbols on it. The plate is rectangular, and the marking symbols are positioned on a part of it which, in its assembled state and in the width direction of the plate, is in front of the leads. - The apertures for the leads and slot-shaped and stamped out without material wastage. Each plate comprises an assembly part in which the apertures are located, and a marking part both parts being separated from each other by at least one slot which extends in the longitudinal direction of the plate and permits bending of the assembly part, but keeping the marking part flat. An alternative form is for the device to comprise a double-walled plate bent to a U-shaped, which has between the body part of the bend and the leads a separate marking shield.
