A mobile transmitter, for use in a cellular radio system, has a power output stage (14) and a voltage supply (30) supplying power to the output stage (14). The voltage supply (30) has a low voltage source (+5V) and a high voltage source (+12V). A switching circuit selectively connects one of the two voltage sources to the output stage (14) in response to a decoder (22) for decoding a digitally encoded demand signal transmitted by a base station. |
