The invention relates to water heat recuperators for fireplaces with an open hearth. It comprises a cooking pot 1 surmounted by a lid 2. The water in the cooking pot constitutes the primary circuit of the exchanger. The water of the dynamic secondary circuit of the heating network circulates in the coil 7 which is submerged in the water in the cooking pot. An alternative of the product envisages a circular opening in the bottom of the cooking pot. This opening is covered by a hopper joining the outside of the cooking pot under the lid and comprises a drawing flap. The lower base of the support of the cooking pot serves as andirons 12. The bracket consists of one tube inside another. This double-envelope system serves to convey the forward run and the return run of the secondary circuit. It is connected to the coil by two flexible tubes so as to allow vertical mobility of the cooking pot by virtue of the chain 18 which serves as a rack. The device according to the invention constitutes, in combination or on its own, a mode of heating a house with water. It can also, on its own or in combination with solar collectors, heat hot water for sanitary purposes. <IMAGE>
