PURPOSE:To improve the transfer of heat and reduce vibration of a roll while enable its impact force to be relaxed, by forming an inner cylinder of the roll by a porous material such that steam is condensed to high temperature water by a pressure drop caused when the steam is allowed to flow passing through the inner cylinder. CONSTITUTION:An inner cylinder 7, being formed by a structure consisting of a porous material or applying porous treatment, is combined with shaft end parts 5, 6. Steam sucked to this inner cylinder, while the steam is allowed to flow in many holes of the inner cylinder 7, is condensed to high temperature water in an air gap part between the inner cylinder 7 and an outer cylinder 2. In this way, the outer cylinder 2 can be heated to a temperature required for gluing, both enabling the heat transfer to be improved and causing the high temperature water to act as a vibration absorbing material. While the outer cylinder 2 can be formed in a small thickness enabling its impact force to be relaxed because a pressure in the air gap part between the outer cylinder 2 and the inner cylinder 7 is reduced by a pressure drop caused when the steam circulated in the inner cylinder is allowed to flow in the porous material. |
