PURPOSE:To improve the detection accuracy of a flame detecting sensor, by positioning a support section of a flame detecting sensor at a gap between flames of a burner head having a plurality of flame holes, and extending vertically down the tip section thereof from the central section of the burner head to the central part of the flame hole. CONSTITUTION:A support section of a flame detecting sensor (e.g. a flame rod) 19 is positioned at a gap between flames 21, and only the tip section 22 thereof is to be located in a flame 21. Thus, in a normal state, a flame current is passed between the flame rod 19 and burner head 16 and an earth such as an earth plate 23 or the like by the formation of flame 21. In such an abnormal state that the flame 21 moves away from the flame hole to lift over the tip section 22 of the flame rod 19, the flame current lowers radically, so that the lifted state of the flame can be detected clearly. In addition, the reliability of the heat resistance of the support section of the flame rod 19 can be improved. |
