PURPOSE:To perform connecting operation while viewing whether the connection is proper or not at only one connection point, and eliminate the need for skillfulness for the connecting operation by using a visible light source and two optical fiber cords with connectors for each core. CONSTITUTION:If an optical fiber cable 1 is disconnected accidentally, the cable is connected by such a connecting equipment which connects the connector of one optical fiber cord 3 with a connector to the visible light source 4 at the disconnection position of the optical fiber cable and fixing the other to the optical fiber core after alignment. The connection loss of the connecting equipment 5 is roughly estimated from the brightness of visible light leaking at the connection point. Further, the connecting operation is carried out over a look at the state of the connection position, so the operation is facilitated. The other disconnected optical fiber is also connected by using a fiber cord 3' with a connector and a connecting equipment 5', and after the visible light source 4 is disconnected, the cords 3 and 3' are connected by using a connector adapter 6 to perform temporarily recovery. |
