PURPOSE:To stably reproduce a superior continuous gradation image by imagewise exposing the nonfilm face of the contact screen of an electrophotographic sensitive body obtained by successively laminating a transparent electrically conductive layer and a photoconductive layer, developing a latent image with a toner, transferring the toner image, and fixing it. CONSTITUTION:An electrophotographic sensitive body 1 is formed by successively laminating a transparent conductive layer 4 and a photoconductive layer 5 on the film face 3 of the contact screen 2. The screen 2 is obtained by laminating the film 3 on a plastic film base 6. In the case of transmission projection, the body 1 is uniformly electrostatically charged and it is exposed by using a light source 9 to a light image transmitted through a transparent original 7 and projected through a lens 8 to the side of the screen 2 so as to form the projected image just on the film face 3 by controlling the lens 8. The light passed through the screen 2 and the layer 4 by the exposure reaches the layer 5, erases electrostatic charge on the surface of the layer 5, and forms an electrostatic latent image. |
