<p>The control device for a hydrostatic drive mechanism according to Fig.1, which has an adjustable pump (10) driven by a diesel engine (15) and a hydraulic motor (13) is so designed that it can run with optimum fuel economy. For this purpose, the position of the accelerator pedal (20), which serves for adjustment both of the diesel engine and of the hydrostatic drive, is fed by way of an electrical sensor (21) into an electronic control unit (23). The position (18) of the control rod of the injection pump (16) is also relayed to this by way of an electrical sensor (24). The electronic control unit (23) adjusts the pump (10) according to these values and its program. The position of the accelerator pedal can be signalled either directly by mechanical means to the control unit (17) of the injection pump or indirectly by way of the sensor (21) and the electronic control unit to the injection timing mechanism (38) of the injection pump. In addition it is possible, by means of an electrical sensor (32) actuated by the brake pedal (31), to feed a signal which actuates a wheel brake into the electronic control unit (23). It is also possible to detect further parameters important for a hydrostatic drive mechanism and to relay them to the electronic control unit, which according to its program favourably influences the running characteristic of the drive mechanism. <IMAGE></p> |
