PURPOSE:To enable formation of a sharp recording image by using a black or dark blue photoconductive polyazo pigment as a fixing medium dispersant. CONSTITUTION:A black or dark blue photoconductive polyazo pigment is dispersed in a fixing medium. The disazo pigment or the like which has at least two azo group and anilide group or phthalide group and is expressed in, for example, the formula is used at 3-50pts.wt. in 100pts.wt. the mixing medium for such polyazo pigment. The fixing medium is constituted of a mixture composed of an inert fixable resin, for example, polystyrene, etc. and a charge transport material, for example, polyvinyl carbazole, etc. Such photoconductive toner is electrostatically formed to the polarity reverse from the polarity of the charge on a dielectric layer applied with the potential of a specified polarity with, for example, a corona charger, etc. and is formed into a laminar shape thereon. The toner is then exposed with an image to form the electrostatic charge toner corresponding to the image and said toner image is transferred electrostatically on transfer paper. The image formed by bringing the transfer image formed with the image in the above-mentioned way into contact with toluene vapor, etc. and fixing the same is faithful to the original and does not form photographic fog. |
