PURPOSE:To enable to provide an air conditioning unit at a substantially central part of an instrument panel, contrive to increase variety of fitting and enhance comfortableness on the side of an assistant driver's seat, by providing an air-introducing fan, a cooling heat exchanger and a heating heat exchanger in the same casing having a draining device, in that order from the upstream side. CONSTITUTION:An air conditioning unit 20 is provided at a sustantially central part of the instrument panel 19 for the vehicle, and comprises the casing 30 provided with intake ports for inside and outside air, an air-introducing fan casing 4a, an air mix chamber 11, blow-off ports 15-17 for blowing off conditioned air to predetermined parts and the draining device 21. The air-introducing fan 4, the cooling heat exchanger 7 and the heating heat exchanger 9 are provided in the casing 30 in series with each other and perpendicularly to the flow direction of introduced air. Accordingly, since the apparatuses are enclosed in the single casing 30, pressure loss can be reduced, and since the unit 20 is provided at the substantially central part of the instrument panel 19, the system can be used in common for a vehicle with the steering wheel on the right side and a vehicle with the steering wheel on the left side, and the comfortableness on the side of the assistant driver's seat can be enhanced. |
