The manufacture of thick-walled slide bearings from a combination of two materials, for example as self-lubricating solid-lubricant bearings, was hitherto only carried out to a limited extent since the introduction of the corresponding pockets and grooves was only possible mechanically, involving considerable outlay. According to the present invention, these grooves can be formed during casting, extrusion moulding and extrusion by appropriate shaping of the moulds and cores (mandrels). The blanks thus obtained, which predominantly should be tubes, can then be centrifugally cast with the second material, for example lubricant or white metal, the pockets and grooves filling with the second material. The further mechanical processing is then carried out by lathe-turning in a known manner. |
