The drum (11) has a circular cover and two circular gables (12). On the inside of its cover are wear linings. To obtain access to the drum interior, the rectangular hatch (16) is removed, and the contents of the drum are emptied through the exposed slot-shaped aperture. - Any internal work is done through the slot-shaped aperture. After completion of such work the drum is rotated again to a suitable position for filling with material to be ground, and replacement and fixture of the hatch. |
